Woodland Management Fund
Your woodland could be producing income, supporting wildlife, and building resilience in your land and business. Get fully funded, expert support to bring it into active management. We’ll connect you with a local forester, develop a Woodland Management Plan on your behalf, and help you access the grants to deliver the work.
Following the recent heatwaves, dry summers and heavy rainfall events, many farmers are looking for practical ways to make their land and businesses more resilient. The Western Forest Trees for Farms Grant provides funding for low-density tree planting that can provide shade, shelter and other benefits while keeping land in agricultural production.
The grant is for the planning, establishment and early maintenance of low-density, in-field tree planting on eligible agricultural land. It is eligible for landowners, agricultural tenants with management control, or another person with written authority to establish and retain the trees.
If you are interested in tree planting on your land, tell us about your site through the Better Off With Trees enquiry form.
When the time comes, we’ll match you up with whichever grant is right for you, and we’ll handle all the paperwork.
Head to the Better Off With Trees page to find out more and to start a conversation today with no obligation.
