What are you offering me?

Expert support to bring your existing woodland into active management. We’ll help you develop a Woodland Management Plan and identify opportunities to improve the health, resilience and value of your woodland.

This support is available to woodland owners in the priority areas who do not already have a Forestry Commission approved Woodland Management Plan.

A well-managed woodland can contribute to income through diversified resources such as timber, while enhancing biodiversity, improving resilience and supporting woodland health. For some owners, this may include restoring neglected woodland and bringing it back into active management.

A Woodland Management Plan can also help you access woodland management grants and funding opportunities where available.

Working with the Western Forest will mean a long-term partnership-based approach, with delivery through a range of forestry organisations.
